CLUB POLICIES

REGISTRATION & WAIVER

  • You must be registered for the session to play

We do not encourage walk-ons and cannot guarantee that walk-ons will be allowed to play.

If you aren’t sure if you are registered for a session, check your inbox or spam folder for a google form submission confirmation email. If you are unable to find that, you can email us to confirm—it’s possible there was a typo in the email address you provided for registration.

  • All members must fill out our yearly safety waiver to be eligible to play

You only need to fill this out once per calendar year. This form includes an acknowledgement of the club’s policies and code of conduct. We recommend filling this out before you attend your first session. Sign this year’s digital waiver HERE.

AGE POLICY

For insurance and liability purposes, all participants must be over the age of 21 on the day of the session to play with NYCFH. No exceptions.

CANCELATION POLICY

If you sign up for a session and can no longer attend, please reply to the registration email or reminder email, OR email us at nycfieldhockey@gmail.com by Saturday at 5pm so we can promote someone from the waitlist to take your spot on the roster. Do not email any of the managers individually.

Failure to alert the managers by the cutoff time will result in a $10 cancelation fee.

TWO STRIKE NO-SHOW POLICY

When you register for a session, we hold a spot for you on the roster. If you don’t show up for the session, your spot goes unused when we could have otherwise given your spot to someone from the waitlist.

To ensure as many members can participate as possible, we enforce a strict no-show policy. If you sign up for a session and don’t show up without notifying the managers, you get one strike.

Any player with 2 strikes will be barred from attending NYC Field Hockey sessions for one year.

NOTE: Cancelations and late cancelations do not count as no-show strikes.

STICK BORROWING POLICY

If it’s your first time playing with NYCFH and you need to borrow a stick, the managers have a limited number of sticks available for your first session only. You’ll be able to check a box on the registration form to let us know you need to borrow a stick.

If you are already a member and have a spare stick, feel free to bring it to the session to help your fellow members out!
